Biography:Marina Domashenko's rich mezzo soprano voice makes her ideal for roles such as Dalila in 'Samson et Dalila', the title role in 'Carmen' and others.

She caught the attention of San Francisco Opera General Director Lotfi Mansouri when she performed Dalila in a concert of "Samson et Dalila" with the San Francisco Opera opposite Placido Domingo, and was immediately invited back to San Francisco to sing the title role in 'Carmen' in 2002.

Her career has taken her to most of the major opera houses and orchestras around the world and has collaborated with conductors such Sir Colin Davis, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Fabio Luisi, Myung Whun Chung, Placido Domingo to name a few.

Marina Domashenko's future engagements include the title role in 'Carmen' at the Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, San Francisco Opera and Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Maddalena in 'Rigoletto' at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Federica in 'Luisa Miller' at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and Paris Opera, Massenet's unknown opera 'Portrait de Manon' at the Liceu in Barcelona, Jocasta in 'Oedipus Rex' at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig conducted by Riccardo Chailly and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Dulcinee in 'Don Quichotte' with the San Diego Opera and Pauline in 'Pique Dame' at the Saito Kinen Festival conducted by Seiji Ozawa.
