Biography:Ronan Collett read Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge and subsequently studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where he received the Royal Worshipful Company of Musician's Silver Medal and was awarded a scholarship from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and a Sybill Tutton award, administered by the MBF.

In 2006, he was awarded the Priz Thierry Mermod at the Verbier Academy and a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship. He also joined the BBC’s New Generation Artists Scheme. This year, Ronan made his Australian debut, singing Britten’s ‘War Requiem’ at the Perth International Festival and Sydney Opera House. His 2007 recital engagements include the Mozart in the Marches, Leeds Lieder and Cheltenham Festivals. He recently made his role debut, as Count Almvaiva in ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ with the Classical Opera Company and he will make his ENO debut, as Morales in ‘Carmen’. Future concert performances include Chausson's 'Poème de l'amour et de la mer' with BBC Philharmonic conducted by Vassily Sinaisky and Beethoven's 'An die ferne Geliebte' in Berlin with Mitsuko Uchida.
