General | | Biography: | Nikolai Putilin's imposing dramatic baritone voice is in demand in many of the world's premiere opera houses. Mr Putilin combines an international career as well as continuing to be an important principal artist at the Mariinsky Theatre. His repertoire consists of many of the great Russian parts including the title role in "Mazeppa", Tomsky in "Pique Dame, a role he has and will perform all over the world, the title role in "Boris Godunov" and "Prince Igor" as well as many of Verdi's dramatic baritone roles including Amonasro in "Aida", Iago in "Otello", title role in "Simon Boccanegra", Miller in "Luisa Miller" and others. Mr Putilin's future engagements include appearances at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Houston Grand Opera and others.
