General | | Biography: | Russian bass Nikolay Didenko graduated from the Moscow Academy of Choral art in both singing and conducting in 2003. Between 2003 and 2004 he was a soloist of the ‘New Opera’ in Moscow and until 2005 a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. He participated in several productions for the Houston Grand Opera including 'Turandot', 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia', 'Die Zauberflote', 'Tosca.
As a guest soloist, Mr Didenko has performed at the Alte Oper, Frankfurt, the Rheingau Musikfestival and at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow. Amongst many of the conductors he has worked with include Patrick Summers, Vladimir Spivakov and Mikhail Pletnev.
Mr Didenko has recorded 'Iolanta' with Fedoseev and Rimsky Korsakov’s 'The song of Oleg the Wise'.
He has sung Frere Laurent 'Romeo et Juliette', 'Madama Butterfly,' 'The Little Prince', 'Idomeneo' and 'Lysistrata' at the Houston Grand Opera, Basilio in 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia' at the New York City Opera, the Verdi Requiem with the Houston SO and 'Les Troyens' at the Opera National de Paris, Bastille and 'Mozart and SAlieri' with the Real Filarmonica de Galicia.
He has also sung Alidoro in 'La Cenerentola' at the Houston Grand Opera and Sarastro in 'Magic Flute' at the Bilbao Opera, where he has been invited back for Pistola in 'Falstaff', 'Rayok' at the Liceu, Barcelonan and Rossini 'Petite messe solennelle' in Cologne
His future engagements include Colline in 'La Boheme' Tom in 'Un ballo in maschera' conducted by Patrick Summers at the Houston Grand Opera, , 'Shostakovich 13 ' at the Festival de Musica de Canaria and with the Orchestra de la Comunidad de Madrid.
