General | | Biography: | The Russian bass Stanislav Shvets has reached a vocal standard which is surely an indication of stardom to come. His beautiful, dark, evenly produced bass has already won him many high profile engagements. He debuted at the Frankfurt Opera as Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and has worked at the Deutsche Staatsoper, the San Francisco Opera, the Grand Teatre del Liceu, and the Opera National de Bastille, Paris.
He has sung Ferrando in 'Il Trovatore' at the Teatro Municipal Santiago, Chile, 'Tosca' 'Rigoletto' and 'Aida' at the Bilbao Opera, Bonze in 'Madama Butterfly' at the Liceu. He has also sung 'Beethoven 9' with the Orchestra Verdi, Milan conducted by Leonard Slatkin.
Future engagements include a Gala Concert at the Monte Carlo Opera Banquo in 'Macbeth' at the Glyndebourne Festival conducted by Vladimir Jurovsky, il Commendatore in 'Don Giovanni' and 'War and Peace ' at the Canadian Opera Company , il Re in 'Aida' at the Bilbao Opera and the First Nazarene in 'Salome' at the Liceu, Barcelona. |
