General | | Biography: | Alexander Vinogradov made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow at the age of 21 as Oroveso in 'Norma', amongst other roles. In 1997, he was a winner in the International Competition 'Classica Nova' in Hannover and in 1999 he won the 'Special Prize' of the Neue Stimmen Competition in Gutersloh. He also won the Orfeo 2000 International Singing Competition, organized by the Staatsoper in Hannover and in 2003 Mr. Vinogradov was a finalist of Placido Domingo’s Operalia competition.
Mr. Vinogradov has performed with the Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin in a variety of roles, including Figaro in 'Le Nozze di Figaro', Escamilio in 'Carmen', Pimen in 'Boris Godunov', Sarastro in 'Die Zauberflöte', Oroveso in 'Norma', Basilio in 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia', Banquo in 'Macbeth', Masetto in 'Don Giovanni', Lodovico in 'Otello', the Nightwatchman in 'Die Meistersinger' and Timur in 'Turandot'.
Mr. Vinogradov has also performed with the Hannover Staatsoper, Vlaamse Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, Opera National de Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet, the City of London Festival, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Ravinia Festival, Baltimore Symphony and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Vinogradov is also a recitalist much in demand having given recitals in Moscow, St Petersburg, Dresden, Berlin (Deutsche Staatsoper) and Jerusalem.
His future engagements will include Don Giovanni, La Bohème, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Il Barbiere di Sevilla, Il Turco in Italia at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, Carmen at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and theTokyo National Theatre as well as Romeo et Juliet at Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, Spain. |
