General | | Biography: | Peter Donohoe is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest living British pianists. He first came to public attention when he won the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow in 1982 and he now performs regularly with many of the major orchestras throughout the world.
During the 2007/8 season Peter Donohoe’s performances include the City of Birmingham Symphony and Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestras, an extensive tour to South America and concerts in Moscow and St Petersburg. He will also take part in a major Messiaen Festival in the Spanish city of Cuenca, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth and performs solo recitals throughout the UK, including London’s Cadogan Hall.
He has an extensive discography including a series on Naxos focussing on British piano concertos. |
