Biography:30 year-old Cédric Tiberghien is one of the most exciting artists to emerge from France in recent years. Forthcoming concerto appearances include the City of Birmingham Symphony, RTE National Symphony Dublin, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Göteborgs Symphony and Bournemouth Symphony. As a recitalist he will appear at the Mozarteum Salzburg, Wigmore Hall, LSO St Luke’s, New York’s Frick Collection, Paris’s Chatelet, Aix-en-Provence, Vancouver, Cologne, the Beethovenfest Bonn, and the City of London Festival.

Internationally, Tiberghien's career was spurred when he won the 1998 Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris. This led to over 150 engagements, including 7 visits to Japan and appearances throughout Europe. He has over 50 concertos in his repertoire, with conductor collaborations including Ivan Fischer, Simone Young, Mstislav Rostropovich, Kurt Masur, Myung-Whun Chung, Christoph Eschenbach, Jerzy Semkov and Leif Segerstam.

He has recently given a widely acclaimed Wigmore Master Series debut recital - the Daily Telegraph commented: "Tiberghien knew exactly what he wanted to say about the music, and did so with a blend of boldness, reasoning and inspiration (...) Tiberghien plays with passion, seeking out the rich diversity of character that Bach explored in his keyboard writing, crystallising it and communicating it with intensity and subtlety"

Tiberghien records for Harmonia Mundi. He has released four recital discs (Beethoven, Debussy, Bach and Chopin/Brahms) and his debut concerto disc - Brahms Concerto No.1 with BBC Symphony and Jiti Belohlavek - will be available in Autumn 2007.
