Biography:The 18 year-old Veronika Eberle is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the most promising violin talents to emerge from Germany in recent years.

Since giving her concerto debut at the age of 10 (Münchener Symphoniker), she has appeared with some of Germany’s finest orchestras. Most recently she was introduced to a packed Festpielhaus at the Salzburg Easter Festival, in a performance of the Beethoven concerto with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle. Other recent concerto engagements include the NDR Hamburg, Rundfunksinfonieorchester Berlin, Münchener Kammerorchester, Züricher Kammerorchester, Berliner Symphoniker and Bamberger Symphoniker (Jonathan Nott). Internationally, she has appeared in Milan with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi and Yakov Kreizberg, as well as on tour in Moscow with the Bamberger Symphoniker.

Future concerto appearances include debuts in the US (Tchaikovsky at the Aspen Festival), Amsterdam (Mendelssohn with Hessischer Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt), the UK (Beethoven with the Bournemouth Symphony), Japan (Dvorak with NHK Symphony), as well as engagements with the Nürnberger Symphoniker, Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland Pfalz, Frankfurter Museumgesellschaft Orchester, Württembergisches Philharmonie, Sweden’s Gävle Symphony (Robin Ticciati) and the Rotterdam Philharmonic (Sir Simon Rattle).

Forthcoming recital appearances include Tonhalle Zürich, Gstaad Menuhin Festival and the Petworth Festival in the UK. In recent years Veronika has appeared at some of Europe’s most distinguished festivals, including Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Salzburg, Beethovenfest Bonn, Classix Festival Brauschweig, Musikfestspiele Dresden, Dortmund “Next Generation”, Heimbach, and return visits are planned to most of these festivals. Her chamber music partners include Lars Vogt, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Tatjana Masurenko, Gustav Rivinius and Julia Fischer.

Veronika Eberle was born in 1988 in Donauwörth, Southern Germany, where she started violin lessons at the age of six. Four years later she became a junior student at the Richard Strauss Konservatorium in Munich, with Olga Voitova. After studying privately with Christoph Poppen for a year, she joined the Hochschule in Munich, where she has been studying with Ana Chumachenco since 2001.

Her exceptional talent, the poise and maturity of her musicianship have been recognised by a number of prestigious organisations, including the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben Hamburg and the Jürgen-Ponto Stiftung Frankfurt. She won the first prize at the 2003 Yfrah Neaman International Competition in Mainz, and was awarded Audience Awards by the patrons of the Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festivals.

Veronika plays the Giovanni Battista Guadagnini "ex Busch" violin (Turin 1783), on kind loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
