General | | Biography: | Tenor David Robinson recently performed the role of 'Dritter Knappe" in PARSIFAL with the Los Angeles Opera next to legendary Placido Domingo'. Born in Mexico, he began his career at an early age as a finalist for two consecutive years in the National Voice Competition “Carlo Morelli.” Subsequently The National Opera Company of Mexico engaged him as a soloist for opera, operetta, zarzuela, and oratorio.
Recipient of a Fulbright scholarship, he attended the Academy of Vocal Arts (Philadelphia) and has had the opportunity to work with artists of the caliber of Franco Corelli, Renata Scotto, Franciso Araiza and Nello Santi among others. Mr. Robinson has also participated in SIVAM (Mexico City) and the Israel Vocal Arts Institute (Tel- Aviv). He has sung with acclaimed regional opera companies throughout the United States, including the Metropolitan Opera Guild, Los Angeles Opera, Opera Orchestra of New York, Palm Beach Opera and the Washington National Opera among others. He has performed as a soloist in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Town Hall, the Kennedy Center and the United Nations (NY). In Washington, D.C., he recently performed a recital at the Mexican Cultural Institute as part of the Embassy Series and Gerontius in The Dream of Gerontius with the North of England Festival Choir in New York.
