Biography:Igor Golovatenko (Bessonov) was born on October, 17th, 1980 in Saratov.

In 1995 has with distinction left musical school on 3-rd specialties: a piano, a violoncello, a composition. In 1997 has finished a grammar school with the profound studying humanitarian disciplines and foreign languages (French, German).

He has the same year arrived in the Saratov State Conservatory (SSC) in a class of a violoncello prof. L. Hochmann where studied within 3th years. For this time has mastered big both various solo and chamber violoncello repertoire, acted as the soloist with orchestras of the Saratov Philharmonic society and SSC. In September, 2000 Igor Golovatenko has executed the D.Shostakovich's First Cello Concert with an orchestra "Young Russia" under conducting of M. Gorenstein, within the limits of festival “Classics from Davidoff” which winner he became. Igor Golovatenko's successful conductor's debut took place in December, 1999 with orchestra SSC. In the program there were Mozart and Beethoven's compositions.

In 2000 Igor Golovatenko has arrived in the Moscow State Conservatory (MSC) in a class of pera & symphonic conducting prof. V. Sinaisky (2000-2002), after passed in class of prof. G. Rozhdestvensky (2002-2005) at whom has graduated a conservatory with distinction in 2005. During these five years Igor Golovatenko worked as the conductor with such collectives, as an orchestra of the Saratov Philharmonic society, SSC orchestra, an orchestra of the Yaroslavl Philharmonic society, an orchestra of opera theatre MSC, an orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Igor Golovatenko cooperated with an orchestra of the Saratov Philharmonic society as the invited conductor during a concert season 2002\03. He has a very vast repertoire which included such works as the Symphony in c-moll of S. Taneyev, "Don Juan" of R.Strauss, "La Valse" of M. J. Ravel, "Francesca da Rimini" of P. Tchaikovsky, compositions of H. Berlioz and R. Wagner; a lot of modern music; operas: "Mozart and Salieri" of N. Rimsky-Korsakov, "Eugene Onegin" of P. Tchaikovsky.

In February, 2006 Igor Golovatenko starts to be engaged in solo singing in a class of the famous Moscow vocal teacher D. Vdovin (Moscow Academy of the choral arts) at which studies at the moment.Igor Golovatenko's vocal debut took place in April, 21st 2006. He has sung the role of Baritone in "Eine Messe des Lebens" of Fr. Delius with the National Philharmonic Society under conducting of V. Spivakov (first presentation in Russia).

In February, 2007 he executed a role of Baritone in a poem "The Bells" of S. Rachmaninoff with the orchestra of Yaroslavl Philharmonic Society under conducting of M. Annamamedov.Participated in the master-classes VII & VIII International Schools of the vocal skills where worked such teachers as D. Zola, S. King (Houston Grand opera), G. Darden (Metropolitan opera), C. Dumas (Ecole normale de musique de Paris), G. Borelli and G. Bisi (Napoli), A. Margulis (Moscow, The New-Opera Theater).

Now Igor Golovatenko, besides training to solo singing, works as the coach-pianist in D. Vdovin's class. As the pianist participated in the Fifth international competition of young opera singers of E. Obraztsova's name (September, 2006).

Igor Golovatenko is a grant-aided student of the "Foundation of the support & development of young opera singers of Moscow".Mr. Golovantenko speaks the following foreign languages: English, French, German and Italian.
